AIM Mag-nificence™ provides three applications of readily-available magnesium—crystals, spray, and lotion. Each application is applied topically, which is the most effective way to get cellular magnesium into the cells. As an essential mineral, magnesium is critical to the utilization and production of energy during cell metabolism. In addition, magnesium also affects the central nervous system, neuromuscular system, and the cardiovascular system.
AIM Mag-nificence™ – Essential Magnesium
Minerals mostly exist within rocks and soil and are designed by nature to be integrated into plants as they grow. When animals such as cattle, sheep and poultry eat grass, they absorb and integrate minerals and Omega-3 EFAs into their flesh. In a perfect world, when we eat plants or meat we should in turn integrate minerals and Omega-3s into our bodies too.
Today most animals raised for meat consumption are kept in feedlots where they are continually fed pellets containing mostly soy (high in oestrogen and inflammatory omega-6), low quality GMO grain and unwanted by- products from industry. Also, our farm soils are depleted through poor, large-scale farming practices, therefore we miss out on adequate mineral and Omega-3 intake from plants, resulting in the need for supplementation as discussed earlier.
Your body absorbs less magnesium when supplementing orally (only about 10-20%) than simply applying magnesium to the skin. When supplementing magnesium orally, magnesium temporarily peaks in the blood and the kidneys pass the excess magnesium out of the body through urine.
Our ancestors used to obtain their daily dose of magnesium by swimming in the ocean or bathing in hot mineral pools. We often hear how people ‘love those negative ions’ when visiting the sea and breathing in the salt air or they are around Himalayan salt lamps. When you breathe in the negative ions suspended in the air, they attach themselves to free radicals in your body and neutralise their harmful effect, making you feel better — less stressed. Magnesium is part of that process.
Magnesium absorbed through the skin (transdermally) is fully absorbed at a cellular level within 20 minutes of application. Skin applications include gels, sprays, lotions, creams and crystals that can be added to water for bathing or foot spas. When using transdermally, it’s helpful to know that Magnesium Chloride is retained better by the kidneys and has more bio-availability than commonly used Epsom Salts (Magnesium Sulphate).
Magnesium is the master mineral. Like the conductor of an orchestra, magnesium brings all vitamins and minerals into concert, correct balance, placement and harmony within the body.
Without magnesium, cell walls become weak and leach magnesium from inside the cells into the blood, so your kidneys register an excess of magnesium. Thus, the kidneys expel even more magnesium from the body (with the intention of creating balance) however; the body becomes accidentally more depleted. Blood test may show plenty of magnesium; however, you may actually be depleted in your bone, muscle and tissue cells.
Magnesium makes up 65% of bones and teeth, 35% of tissue, muscle and fluids with the highest concentrations in the heart and brain cells. Magnesium balances the electrical (nerve/brain) signals in the body and magnesium is involved in over 300 body processes and is essential for the utilisation of cell energy, detoxification and communication.
Magnesium relaxes muscles, converts protein for use, supports the heart, brain and nerves, enhances liver functions and helps balance the acid/alkaline balance in the body by allowing calcium to return to the bones in highly acid bodies. Magnesium also assists with detoxing, balances out hormones and enzymes like glutathione, melatonin (secreted by the pineal gland in your brain when night falls, encouraging sleep), adrenaline and EFAs. Without sufficient magnesium in your body, you may feel chronically stressed, fatigued, anxious, irritable and have poor quality sleep leading to unsupportive emotions and habits as detailed earlier.
The diagram above shows (simplistically) how magnesium supports nerve communication. This is not exactly how it works, but the end result is the same and the actual process is amazingly complicated for simple minds like mine
Are You Magnesium Deficient?
As everything in this list depletes the body of magnesium, you can gauge your need to supplement personally: Soft drinks (soda), fruit juice, dairy, coffee, tea, energy drinks, alcohol, ice cream, deserts, cakes, biscuits (basically all sugar), fluoride (drinking/shower water and toothpaste) and anyone on medication including the contraception pill and HRT. Physical injury also depletes magnesium.
Also, if you suffer from any of the following symptoms: Headaches, muscle pain, chronic fatigue, depression, insomnia, emotional and physical stress, anxiety disorders, anger, mood swings, muscle cramps and twitches, cognitive difficulties or you are over 55 years of age when magnesium levels are depleted even further.
As you can see from this comprehensive list, most of the population are probably magnesium deficient.
I used to supplement with a sweet-tasting magnesium powder for many years without noticing a significant improvement. Since I began supplementing with transdermal magnesium, I have noticed an incredible improvement in my stress levels, muscle twitching (happened regularly after my seizures), mental focus and clarity. I sleep much deeper and awake refreshed every morning.
Like most men, I like to shower daily, dress and get on with my day with a cursory swipe of deodorant under my armpits. However, nowadays I always take an extra few minutes to apply magnesium to my skin before getting on with my day. I never miss out — it’s so important and makes such a difference to my quality of life.
The past six years have been quite challenging with many periods of stress (at times quite chronic), anxiety and grief. This coupled with a diet no doubt deficient in essential minerals led to what I now believe was a spiralling magnesium deficiency. Looking back, particularly at the last 12-18 months, I can now identify a steadily (and until recently, alarmingly) increasing number of symptoms which at times had me feeling I was losing my grip on my health, my life and reality. Some early symptoms were pricking sensations all over my body (but especially my hands/arms and feet/legs) as though I was being stabbed by pins and tingling, especially in my fingers and hands and later my feet. Also numbness in my hands and fingers mainly at night. As time passed these sensations began to creep into my daytime hours as well. I also began to experience disturbing lapses of memory, of conversations, actions (as in where I had placed something or things I had done) and had difficulty retrieving information. I simply could not remember things. This was commented on by my husband and was genuinely worrying to us both. Once a sound sleeper, over time I had become restless and frequently wakeful throughout the night often waking totally exhausted in the morning. I was sensitive to noise, irritable and not at all relaxed. Then, a few months ago I began experiencing episodes of breathlessness and rapid heartbeat even with very minimal exertion. At times my heart felt it would skip out of my chest with sudden fluttering and palpitations. My “resting” pulse was at times at least 100 beats per minute. I would experience tightness in my chest and have trouble taking a deep breath. One day I even ended up at the doctor’s having an ECG in case I was having a heart attack. Nothing showed up as being wrong. In fact, I had many tests throughout the year; just about every organ in my body scanned, blood tests, nothing was revealed. But I was gradually feeling worse and it was starting to scare me. My hands began to tingle and “buzz” constantly, though the sensations moved around. I began to experience muscle weakness in my legs and hands (it was hard to make a strong fist and my legs felt really wobbly and like they might fold under me). I had the most disturbing sensation that I can only describe as feeling like I was “not properly in my body”, it was as though I couldn’t look at things properly through my eyes. I started experiencing anxiety and panic and all these later symptoms arrived and escalated within a couple of months. I was waiting for an appointment with a neurologist at this time and felt like I was really in trouble. I was wracking my brains for possible answers for what I was experiencing and in an inspired moment I wondered if I could possibly have a mineral deficiency. Basic research quickly showed it was indeed possible that all my symptoms could be a sign of magnesium deficiency (though admittedly, also a number of other things). So, I began taking an oral supplement just to see if it would help me. Then, in a series of wonderful synchronicities I learned about transdermal magnesium therapy and that it is a much more effective way of getting magnesium into our cells than oral supplementation. I had nothing to lose, I gave it a try. I am being completely truthful when I say that within 24-48 hours of starting to use AIM’s magnesium products (I started with the gel and spray and recently added the crystals) I started to feel different. I simply started to feel “better” within myself. Within a few days my pins and needles were improving. In less than 2 weeks the tingling, muscle weakness, spacey light- headedness, anxiety/panic and fluttery heart were all but gone. Now, after about 8 weeks I feel more relaxed, sleep better and I am symptom free. I have also had an amazing improvement in the arthritis in my neck, much less pain and inflammation. I know it can take several months to get magnesium levels back into the normal range so I still view myself as journeying back to health. However, the improvement I have experienced has been nothing short of dramatic and has felt miraculous. At 44 years of age I feel I was potentially headed for an unpleasant disease diagnosis in the future if things had continued on their original path and life was becoming scary and difficult. I believe I am heading in the direction of regaining good health because of AIM’s magnesium products and I will be using them life-long. For me, they have literally changed my life. They may have even saved it. (Incidentally, my results from the neurologist recently where normal and I honestly don’t know if that would have been the case a few months ago.)

What is Mag-nificence?
Mag-nificence provides three ways to apply readily available magnesium, absorbed topically, not consumed orally—a departure from most AIM nutritional products. One of the most effective ways to get magnesium into the cells is by absorption through the skin. Magnesium is not easily broken down and used by the body, and the older we get, the harder it is to get adequate absorption through an oral application.
Mag-nificence products effectively assist the body in main- taining whole-body health.
The lotion provides topical magnesium in a fragrance-free, moisturizing blend of shea butter, coconut oil, and jojoba seed oil. The magnesium spray delivers a high concentration of this essential mineral. CWR bath additive delivers magnesium with mica minerals.
Regardless of the method, the intensity of Mag-nificence may be felt as it treats the body, balancing and restoring it to greater youth, tone, strength, beauty, health, and well-being.
The efficacy of the Mag-nificence products may be noticed after consistent use of the lotion, spray or CWR bath additive. Consistent use assists the body in restoring balance and health through cellular rejuvenation.
How to Use Mag-nificence Lotion
Generously apply the lotion onto clean skin and smooth in gently. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and sensitive areas. Some individuals may experience a tingling sensation on the
skin after applying the lotion, but this is normal.
The lotion’s topical magnesium supplements the intake of this essential mineral while moisturizing the skin with shea butter, coconut oil, and jojoba seed oil.
Each bottle supplies 6,168 mg of elemental magnesium.
